You are on Laurent Henocque personal page. I'm lecturer/researcher, expert in constraint programming and applications, in configuration, man machine interfaces, natural language processing, the semantic web. I also have photography, kitesurf, and web design as hobbies and passions.

Profession

I'm lecturer researcher at the Université de la Mediterranée, Marseille. I teach at the Ecole supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Luminy, and do my research in the Laboratoire des Sciences de l'Information et des Systèmes (LSIS UMR CNRS 6168).

Fields of research

My research essentially covers the following areas
  • constraint programming
  • finite model search
  • constraint based configuration
  • semantic web service composition
  • natural language processing

Teaching

My courses are related to software engeneering
  • Object oriented programming
  • Object oriented specification and design
  • Object oriented modelling
  • Man machine interfaces

Expertise

I can help or collaborate in the following areas
  • pedagogy and use of constraint programming
  • pédagogy and use of constraint based configuration applied to AI
  • semantic web service annotation
  • semantic web service composition
  • web 2.0 site design (ajax, mashups, social web etc.)

Passions

Family and friends

They know who they are... Hi if you read this!

Photography

As an amateur photographer, enjoying the realm of digital photography, and my programming skills to give them software frames (like my flickr viewer called darckr).

Music

I am a great fan of spanish songs... (My wife's music)

Web design

Design of dynamic web sites, web2, using php, javascript, ajax, micro format based semantics, and original pictures. For instance again the flickr based photo gallery generator "darckr". I also use a file based content management system as shown by the index of publications in the research page, etc... I use my skills in software engineering and man machine interfaces.

This site borrows some presentation ideas to two designs, on the one hand green 80 by dcarter and on the other hand bonsai by openwebdesign ported on my cms. I'm thankful for this.
